Riley Schafer-Wilson

Hi, I’m Riley, Co-Founder and Director of Heart Worx. I’ve worked across disability and mental health services since 2010, including direct support, group homes, Local Area Coordination, team leadership, Support Coordination and Psychosocial Recovery Coaching.

I also bring substantial lived experience of disability, mental health and navigating complex systems as a long-term carer and advocate. I know what these systems can ask of people and families, and how much difference it makes when someone listens properly, stays calm and follows things through.

These days, I oversee Heart Worx’s intake, operations and higher-level decisions. I’m often the person people come to when something is complicated, unclear or needs a practical way forward.
