Group Fun & Skill Building

Support isn’t just about big goals. Sometimes it’s about learning little things that make life less overwhelming - or finding fun ways to connect that actually feel safe.

At Heart Worx, skill building and group support aren’t about programs or ticking boxes. It’s about finding steady ways to learn, connect, and practise everyday life — in ways that make sense for you.

“We know social anxiety can feel overwhelming — sometimes even life-or-death. That’s why everything we do is built on gradual steps and small wins. You’ll never be forced or pushed. Instead, we’ll work with you and check in every step of the way, so you feel safe and in control.”

Why Heart Worx Support Feels Different

  • We hire for people skills and presence, not just certificates.
  • We train staff in lived-experience practices, not just the NDIS rulebook.
  • Groups are designed for neurodivergent and psychosocial needs — smaller, calmer, structured.
  • We match workers and group facilitators with care, based on safety and shared ground.
  • We know from lived experience that absence of support can be as harmful as presence of the wrong support. Every group is designed for people who live with social anxiety. That means smaller numbers, calmer spaces, clear structure, and support workers who understand how hard showing up can be. Progress might look like sitting in the room quietly the first time — and that’s okay. We move gradually, together.

This might look like budgeting together so bills don’t pile up, or having someone by your side so joining a group feels safe instead of scary. These everyday supports matter as much as the bigger goals.
