Heart Worx

NDIS Support That Reduces Overwhelm

Support Coordination, Psychosocial Recovery Coaching, and Direct Support across Tamworth and surrounds.

Why Heart Worx?

Heart Worx was built from lived experience, family caring and years of disability and NDIS work. We think carefully about who supports whom, how support fits into everyday life, and whether it leaves things clearer rather than creating more to manage.

Sometimes that is a quiet coffee. Sometimes it is sorting paperwork together. Sometimes it is giving you and a new worker time to get used to each other, rather than expecting things to feel comfortable straight away.

For Support Coordinators and carers, we keep agreed next steps visible rather than relying on everyone to remember everything.

Lived experience, used carefully

Lived experience is part of how Heart Worx was built. It can help us notice pressure, system fatigue and the point where support starts becoming another thing to manage. It does not mean we assume our story is yours.

Small choices count

Choice is often in ordinary things - where to go, when to leave, whether to talk, or whether today is a paperwork day at all. We do not treat a "no" like a problem to solve.

We keep track of what we agree to

People get busy and things can be missed. We record agreed actions so follow-up is not left to memory alone. If something slips, we want it picked back up rather than quietly disappearing.

Who supports you

The support you need comes first. We also consider a worker's skills, how they approach support and the kinds of support they genuinely enjoy. Their profile gives you some of that information before you decide who you would like to meet.

The NDIS is messy

We explain what we know, what we do not, and what the options are. We do not pretend the system is simpler or more certain than it is.

Not every day needs a new goal

Sometimes the useful thing is getting dinner made, turning up to the appointment, keeping a familiar routine going or having someone there on a rough day.

Choosing your support worker

Our worker profiles separate what someone can offer from the kinds of support they especially enjoy, and include a bit about who they are outside work. We show both because being able to do a support task and genuinely enjoying that kind of work are not the same thing. That interest is part of what a worker brings to support.

A possible match still has to make sense for the support itself - the skills required, how you communicate and how you want support to happen.

If someone looks like they might suit, we can check availability and organise a meet before you decide about ongoing support. There is time to ask questions, think about it, or decide not to go ahead.

Who we work with

We support NDIS participants across Tamworth and surrounds, with a lot of our work involving psychosocial disability and neurodivergence. Some people want plenty of conversation. Some need quiet before questions. Some days leaving the house is already a lot. We want to know what makes support easier to use and what makes it harder.

If you want family, carers, a Support Coordinator, Recovery Coach or someone else involved, we can work with them too. That stays your call.

I am so thankful and happy with the support Heart Worx is providing my son, he is also incredibly happy, and it is great to see. Over the past few years, we have struggled to get adequate support to meet hiss needs, so the support is greatly appreciated.

My support coordinator has also done a wonderful job of ensuring that my workers follow through with any advice that my therapists give to support my wellbeing.

Everyone is happy to talk through any concerns that I have, either with their support or any other area of my life.

My support workers are crucial to building my independence. Without them, I would be unable to live independently. Therefore, I wanted to choose a company that would have my interests at heart.

I have had other support workers in the past that were difficult to get along with because they didn’t care as much about me and my independence. What I love about Heart Worx is that my carers follow any instructions I give them.

I am glad they will consider any feedback I have, as some of my past providers have struggled to do this. I have an assistance dog that I have been training myself and Heart Worx are supportive of the training process, even though she is not funded through the NDIS.

I highly recommend Heart Worx.

Heart Worx Know what they are talking about when it comes to all things NDIS - it totally reduces my stress when dealing with NDIS issues, plans, budget etc.

They Follow up on things that need to be attended to, have a great understanding on disability and realise that clients are all different with different personalities, needs and challenges.

I love the support that I as a carer receives when it gets a bit overwhelming and too much and I need support in what I should do next.

Riley has a really calm, reassuring manner and lots experience we really appreciate his support.
