Jess Schafer-Wilson

Hi, I’m Jess. I bring lived, carer and professional experience across psychosocial recovery, NDIS systems, disability support, and practice design.

A lot of my work sits in the gap between what a plan says and what actually happens in real life. I’m interested in all the bits & pieces that people often miss- unclear support, confusing systems, poor fit, blurred roles, and the extra load participants and families end up carrying when support is not set up properly.

My approach is warm, direct and low-pressure. I use humour where it helps, clear language where it matters, and I try not to make hard things heavier than they already are. I care about support that helps people understand what is happening, what was agreed, and what comes next - without having to explain themselves from scratch every time.
