Capacity Building Support & Programs
Capacity Building Support & Programs
We focus on building something real- something that makes daily life more manageable, meaningful, and yours.
At Heart Worx, Capacity Building can look like:
Mental health-focused coaching — building emotional regulation tools and recovery strategies
Social support — including supported group activities, re-engaging with community, or exploring safe social spaces
Skill-building — like managing money, navigating appointments, learning to cook, or using tech
Confidence and independence — pacing personal goals and reducing support reliance, when that’s what someone wants
Routine and structure support — developing rhythms that actually work for your energy, capacity, and brain
Life admin help — from setting reminders and managing Centrelink, to dealing with housing, transport or healthcare systems
Interest-led growth — exploring hobbies, identity, creativity or movement in ways that feel safe and motivating
Employment and study readiness — like managing overwhelm, finding the right environment, or building practical steps toward a goal
We work alongside each person to figure out what’s helpful, what’s not, and what kind of support actually makes life feel more livable.
There’s no pressure here — just steady, real help, from people who get it.
Group Support with a Creative Twist
We’re now opening another small group for D&D sessions for participants who enjoy strategy, storytelling, and structured social interaction in a calm, inclusive space. These sessions are facilitated by Josh, one of our experienced support workers with a background in youth mentoring, gaming, and routine-based engagement.
We’re currently gathering expressions of interest to finalise the best night for this group. If you or you know a participant who might love this style of social support, let us know what timing would suit — we’re building the group around what works.
This group is ideal for participants who:
Enjoy imaginative, turn-based or roleplay games
Struggle with typical social settings or high-pressure environments
Thrive with structure, routine, and creativity
